What are skin tags?

They are soft pendulous harmless growths commonly found in skin folds especially around the neck, under armpits, on the eyelids and under the breasts. They can be singular or multiple. The most common reasons why our patients request skin tag removal is due to irritation from jewellery or clothing, when they can often become sore and bleed.

If they form on the face, they are unsightly, and interfere with your vision.

Removal of Skin tags

The Yorkshire Skin Hospital offer two procedures for skin tag removal under local anaesthetic.

• Electrocautery
• Surgical excision
