What is a Papilloma?
Types of Papillomas: There are different types of Papillomas, including common warts, found on hands and fingers, plantar warts may be found on the feet, flat warts are found on the face and legs.
PAPILLOMAS are contagious and can be transmitted through direct skin -skin contact or contact with contaminated surfaces, papillomas normally appear as small rough, raised bumps on the skin. They can vary in colour ,ranging from flesh coloured to brown or gray, in some cases they could itch around the area of the papilloma.
If the papilloma is causing discomfort or cosmetic concerns our specialist will be able to remove the condition as an out patient procedure.
They generally tend to be nipple-shaped.
Papillomas can sometimes be painful and cause irritation, most of our patients request their removal purely because they find them unsightly, especially when they grow on the face or scalp and become sore and inflamed.
Surgical Removal of papillomas
